How I handle the information you give me. Last updated August 2026.
Jo Durkin Dietitian, based in Cardiff. If you have any questions about your data, email jodurkindietitian@gmail.com.
When you send an enquiry through this website I collect your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, the service you're interested in, how you heard about me, and anything you write in the message box.
During consultations I also collect clinical information relevant to your care, including medical history, medication, symptoms and dietary intake.
Enquiry details are used solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you go on to become a client, to arrange and deliver your consultations. Clinical information is used to provide safe and appropriate dietetic care, which is a legal and professional requirement of my HCPC registration.
Your information is not sold, shared or used for marketing. Enquiry emails are delivered through Resend and stored in my email account. This website is hosted by Vercel. Both are GDPR-compliant providers acting as data processors on my behalf.
I will only share clinical information with another healthcare professional, such as your GP or consultant, with your explicit consent, or where I am legally obliged to do so.
Enquiries that don't lead to a consultation are deleted after twelve months. Clinical records are retained for eight years after your last appointment, in line with professional record-keeping requirements.
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it where I'm not legally required to retain it. Email me and I'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
